Your New Role

This position will be part of our HR Services organization and will be predominantly involved in the configuration and delivery of Workday related functionality and enhancements in the Human Capital Management (HCM), Absence, Time Tracking and Payroll product suite.

Delivery of solutions may be employee and/or manager facing or used internally by HR Services and/or clients such as Compensation & Benefits, Human Resources, Organization Effectiveness, Talent Acquisitions, Payroll, Finance and Legal.

This position is responsible for all aspects of development and maintenance, including planning, requirements gathering, designing, configuring, testing, developing user documentation, and providing support.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Workday Implementation and Project Delivery
    • Workday configuration and support resource, with emphasis on Absence, Time Tracking and Payroll configuration
    • Support the successful implementation of new functionality and/or processes within project timelines
    • Provide analytical thinking and support for project initiatives and day-to-day business operations
    • Support cross-functional, enterprise-wide initiatives
    • Learn to configure Workday according to business and technical requirements
    • Ensure thorough documentation of requirements, conceptual design, and end-to-end processes
    • Support management on ad-hoc projects as required
    • Assist in development of training materials and partner in change management efforts and organizational readiness
    • Help to deliver on project/process documentation as part of transition of support to operations
    • Understand and apply company’s security and privacy policies, standards and processes to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of data
  • Continuous Improvement and Ongoing Support – Maintain process controls to help design, implement and/or monitor operations as part of initial configuration/implementation and continuous improvement:
    • After product implementation, provide ongoing support of day-to-day operations
    • Participate in various process improvement efforts, and assist in the process and system change implementations
    • Participate in release/update trainings as needed
    • Research new Workday functionality and releases as well as industry trends and best practices in HR and HR Services to support ongoing improvement and lead best practices
    • Supports configuration testing efforts, executing testing for any new Workday features being adopted

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-2 years functional and technical human resources, payroll, time tracking, security or HRIS experience
  • Experience in the development and implementation of process and systems changes required
  • Ability to gather and translate business requirements/technical solutions
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/activities and prioritize appropriately
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Operational experience in HR or Payroll required
  • Proven analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field, or equivalent combination of training and work experience required
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem resolution skills with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Must demonstrate intellectual curiosity about new ideas
  • Must be a motivated, confident self-starter with strong technical aptitude and ability to learn quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Must be able to understand the functional and technical details, and think strategically
  • Must have excellent time management skills to perform in a fast-paced, high pressure, high volume environment
  • Must be able to reason through issues and resolve problems and work well under time constraints
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills (excellent quality of deliverables)
  • Must be an effective and tactful communicator with persons on all levels, in person or remotely
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team, in a constantly changing environment
  • Must be process and solution oriented with the flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
  • Must have passion for customer service and value end-user experience
  • Must have strong follow-through skills
  • Must be able to navigate across disparate environments and work with teams effectively
